AUGUSTA (AP) — Maine energy officials say the pattern of frigid temperatures in the state is translating into higher home heating costs.

The Governor’s Energy Office price survey Tuesday found the current statewide average cash price for No. 2 heating oil was $3.72 per gallon, up 1 cent from last week’s price survey.

The average kerosene price increased 1 cent as well, to $4.15 per gallon, but propane prices were unchanged from last week, holding at an average of $2.72 per gallon.
