Police are investigating a burglary that took place over the weekend at a Maine Street restaurant.
The burglary at The Great Impasta, 42 Maine St., was reported Monday morning.
The restaurant is closed Sundays, so police say the incident could have occurred anytime from Saturday night to Monday morning.
Deputy Chief Marc Hagan said a window was broken to gain access to the building and a safe containing an undisclosed amount of money, along with two computers, was stolen.
Hagan said police had no suspects and the burglary remains under investigation.
If anyone has any information, Hagan asked that they call 725-6620 and ask for Detective Greg Mears.

It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
