BIDDEFORD — Nick Leblond’s 17 points weren’t enough for Biddeford as they lost to Scarborough 60-50 Saturday in Biddeford.
Biddeford got off to a great start as it moved the ball around well and found ways to the basket. Leblond led his team by driving to the basket and getting to the free-throw line three times, and hitting 4 of 6. He also went 3 of 6 from the floor knocking down a 3.
Sam Methot was key to Biddeford’s defense grabbing 10 first half rebounds and swatting two balls for blocks. Brendan Hall and Dillon Russo kept Scarborough in the game by scoring a combined total of 16 points and making several stops on the defensive end. The score at the half was 31-27.
Biddeford’s offense started to fall apart as it scored six points in the third quarter and fell behind the Red Storm 40-37.
Scarborough started to pull away in the fourth and converted on 10 of 15 free throws.
The 2-4 Biddeford Tigers will host undefeated Portland (6-0) Wednesday in Biddeford.
