BOWDOIN

Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department handled two crashes this morning in Bowdoin 20 minutes apart.

The first, reported on Main Street at 7:33 a.m., occurred after the driver of a 2006 Hyundai four-door vehicle hit some deep water, lost control and hit a guardrail, said Chief Deputy Brett Strout. The 27-year-old driver, Heather Deane, of Lisbon, also had a young child in the vehicle but no one was hurt.

The second crash was reported at 7:53 a.m. at Litchfield and Wagg Road. Strout
said a 2004 Chevy Tahoe driven by 41-year-old Michael Boyko of Bowdoin, was traveling too fast for the conditions and left the roadway and hit a tree. He had a young female passenger. Strout said no one was injured.

Both vehicles sustained more than $1,000 in damage. No charges were issued.
