AUBURN — The Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference has released the girls high school basketball statistics, ending with games played through Dec. 15.
Edward Little’s Ashlee Arnold paces scorers with an average of 22.3 points a game, followed by Mt. Ararat’s Mallory Nelson with 19.0. Eagles teammate Caitlin LaFountain is tied for third in scoring (18.3).
Nelson is third in rebounds (8.7 a contest), ninth in free-throw percentage (60 percent) and tied for sixth in assists with teammate Kristi Willey and Lewiston’s Jenessa Talarico (2.7).
LaFountain is tops in free throws (83 percent), fourth in rebounds (8.3) and second in 3-pointers made (nine), while Katie Labbay of Mt. Ararat is fifth in assists (3.0), and Willey fifth in rebounds (7.0) and seventh in free throws (63 percent).
Edward Little sports the top offensive team in the conference with 60.3 points per game. Mt. Ararat is third at 55.7, just behind Cony’s 57.2.
Defensively, the undefeated Eagles (4-0) are fourth at 44.3 points against each game. Oxford Hills paces the KVAC at 40.0.
Brunswick is seventh in scoring (40 points a game) and team defense (61.7).
Mt. Ararat visits Brunswick (0-4) today at 7 p.m.
