CASCO – A Naples woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a motor vehicle accident Tuesday morning.
Police said Sabrina Cloutier, 33, was a passenger in a 2011 Chevrolet pickup driven by Shawn Trottier, 29, of Naples, when Trottier lost control while heading south on the icy, wet roadway on Route 11 in Casco, just south of Webbs Mills Road. The vehicle spun into the oncoming lane, where it was struck in the passenger-side door by a 2008 Freightliner box truck operated by Max Walton, 36, of Livermore Falls.
Trottier and Cloutier had to be extricated from the vehicle by fire personnel, police said. Trottier was transported to Maine Medical Center with possible broken bones. His injuries are not considered life threatening.
Cloutier was transported to Maine Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
