WEST BATH — “Working with Emotions,” a public talk and workshop with Bill Karelis, is planned today through Sunday at Dzogchen Mediation Center.
People often have a conflicted and confused relationship with their emotions, say retreat organizers.
In this talk and workshop, Karelis will describe how the sitting practice of meditation may help to clarify one’s relationship with emotions.
An open house and free talk will kick off the weekend today at 7 p.m.
The cost for the weekend is $165, which includes lodging. Commuters pay $100.
Scholarship and work study are available on request.
The Dzogchen Meditation Center is located at 4 Armstrong Way.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
