BATH — Cheverus High School senior Tessa Lindsley of Bath has signed a Letter of Intent with the University of Maine at Orono. She will be attending the school in the fall of 2012, where she will be swim on the Black Bears’ Division I swim team.

Lindsley is the daughter of Dr. Eric and Mrs. Joline Lindsley of Bath.

A swimmer on club teams since the age of seven, Lindsley has also been a member of the Cheverus High School swimming and diving team. She has also been a member of the Long Reach Swim Club of the Bath Area Family YMCA for 10 years where she excelled, scoring top at the state meet, qualifying to the New England finals, and the YMCA Nationals.

Her best events are the 50 and 100 freestyle and she has set pool and state records on relay teams. During her sophomore year, she was a member of Long Reach’s 200-yard freestyle relay team which placed 12th nationally.
