WISCASSET — The Women’s Group of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church will hold its Christmas Fair on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the church’s Lippiat Hall on Hodge Street.
There will be holiday wreaths and greens for sale, as well as a knit and stitch table, a bake table, crafts, and a chowder luncheon.
The Bargain Basement will also be open during the fair. In honor of the holiday season, the Basement volunteers have created a special Christmas decoration nook full of kitschy knick knacks with a holiday theme. There are also clothing and household bargains, with new items arriving daily.
The Bargain Basement is open each Tuesday from noon to 4 p.m., and each Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
