Open studio hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Roberts’ work is characterized by stoneware in whimsical forms that are nonetheless functional, coated with earthy glazes. He also produces a line of slip-cast porcelain neti pots and companion accessories for bath and massage.
Kilbourn-Tara is known for her distinctive, painted terra-cotta bowls, platters, steamers and other utilitarian pottery. Together, the pair has produced a body of soda-fired pottery with one-of-a-kind glaze effects. Their outdoor soda kiln can be seen beside the studio building.
The studio is located at 41 Tide’s End Road, off King’s Point Road. Signs will point the way to the studio from the New Meadows Road exit from Route 1.
