WEST BATH — Compass Point Academy held its first Science Fair on Nov. 7 with 15 entrees from student in first grade through high school.
The event was designed to cultivate interest in the field of science and discovery, and practical application into daily life. Topics included experiments, holograms, animal science, geology, health and space.
Joseph Hansen, 10, Brenden Cross, 7, and Samuel Demont, 6, received the highest recognition.
The academy’s next event will be Junior Regionals in February. Elementary students will compete in art, drama, academics, creative writing and sports.
Regionals for high school students will be held at Schroon Lake, N.Y., in April. More than 400 students compete in more than 140 categories with other Christian Academies from New England States and New York.
