BRUNSWICK — Bowdoin College junior Ollie Koo has been named the New England Small College Athletic Conference Men’s Ice Hockey Player of the Week.
Koo erupted for eight points on three goals and five assists in a perfect 3-0 week for Bowdoin. The forward collected two assists in a 4-2 win at the University of New England on Tuesday and added two more helpers in a 6-5 victory over Salve Regina on Saturday. He then recorded a hat trick with three power play goals in the opening period of his team’s 5-2 triumph over Suffolk on Sunday. Koo currently leads all NESCAC players with 10 points this season.
Bowdoin is currently the only unbeaten NESCAC team this year, standing at 4-0-1 entering its two-game set against rival Colby this weekend. The Polar Bears will host the Mules at 7 p.m. Friday evening at Watson Arena. No tickets remain for that contest.
The doors will open at 6 p.m.
