DRESDEN
Dresden Fire Association again will be conducting its Christmas tree fundraiser at Pownalborough Station on Route 197.
The Christmas tree fundraiser will be held on December weekends from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., until supplies last. All trees cost $25 — the same price as last year — and range in size from 5 feet to 9 feet.
If you have any questions or need to make other arrangements to get a tree, call Gorham “Pean” Lilly at 737-2566.
The Fire Association urges people to use caution with trees. Make sure the lights are safe and the tree has plenty of water.
The Dresden Fire Association will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at Pownalborough Hall beginning at 7 p.m. for the monthly business meeting.
Dresden Fire Department members will meet every Wednesday at Pownalborough Station at 6:30 p.m. for regular truck and station maintenance as well as any scheduled training which will be posted on the first Wednesday of the month.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
