Ignited by a third quarter in which the team scored 40 points, the Maine Red Claws opened their 2012-2013 season on the road by defeating the Canton Charge 123-115 at the Canton Civic Center in Canton, Ohio on Saturday night.

The Red Claws were led by Kris Joseph’s 28 points and right rebounds. Chris Wright accounted for 24 points and six rebounds.

As a team, the Red Claws shot nearly 50 percent (49.4) from the field and 82 percent from the foul line.
