BRUNSWICK — Christopher Patrick Writt, age 60, died Monday, November 19th at Mid Coast Hospital following a long illness. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii September 27, 1952 the eldest son of LCDR. William W. & Elinor J. Writt who predeceased him.
He attended Brunswick schools and was a 1970 graduate of Brunswick High School. He received degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine, at Orono. While working as an engineer, he fulfilled a lifelong dream by earning his private pilot’s license, and spent many enjoyable hours flying around the country in his Cessna 172, including a trip to the Oshkosh, Wisconsin Annual Fly-In.
He is survived by his brother, Frederick A. Writt and his wife, Colleen, and their children, Eva and Evan, of Falmouth, and his sister, Delia W. Austin and her husband, Glenn, and their children, Garrett and Keith, of Brunswick.
At Christopher’s request there will be no services. A private burial will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery, Brunswick, alongside his parents.
