LEWISTON — Kevin Lewis, CEO of Maine Community Health Options (MCHO), recently announced that Joyce McPhetres and William Schulz have joined the organization.
MCHO is a not-for-profit, CO-OP health plan that will provide health insurance to individuals and small businesses beginning in January 2014.
McPhetres has joined MCHO as its chief human resources officer. She is a seasoned human resources executive with expertise in health care, higher education and financial services. Prior to joining MCHO, McPhetres was the vice president of human resources and organizational development at Central Maine Healthcare in Lewiston and a first vice president at MBNA America in Belfast.
McPhetres, who lives in Topsham, has a master of education in community counseling and a bachelor of science from the University of Maine. She is MBTI certified and an experienced mediator.
Schulz, of Portland, has been hired as the director of provider network operations. In this role, he will manage the organization’s provider relations, and develop and maintain the health plan’s provider network.
