BRUNSWICK

Approximately 80 people gathered at the veterans memorial Nov. 11 on the Brunswick Mall to celebrate Veterans Day.

Master of Ceremonies Gil Ormsby, a combat-wounded veteran from the Korean War, recognized veterans from all wars. Sgt. Davielle Rodgers, an active duty member of the U.S. Air Force, was introduced as a special guest. Rodgers has served a tour of duty in Kuwait, two tours in Iraq and has just returned from a tour in Afghanistan.

Brunswick Town Councilor Dave Watson, guest speaker, reminded those in attendance of the sacrifices made by our veterans, living and departed, to maintain the freedoms that all Americans enjoy.

Joe Donahue of American Legion Post 20, conducted a Prisoners of War Missing in Action “Table for One” ceremony.
