BOOTHBAY HARBOR —
The Edgecomb Congregational Church will sponsor its fifth annual Christmas Cruise on the Harbor Princess, which will be festively decorated by members and friends of the congregation.
The cruise will be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, in conjunction with the Harbor Lights Boat Parade. It will depart from the Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 6, at 3:45 p.m. and return at 6:30 p.m.
In addition to the unique experience of being a part of the parade, cruise participants will enjoy tasty and plentiful finger food, meatballs, spanikopata, sweets and a variety of beverages. Carols and other seasonal songs will be sung while circling the harbor.
With luck, cruisers will witness a beautiful winter sunset at the west end of Townsend Gut.
The cruise is a major fundraiser to help defray the maintenance costs for the church building which is available for many community activities.
The cost for the cruise is $35 per person, and special family rates are available.
Reservations may be made by calling the Edgecomb Congregational Church at 882- 4060. Leave a message with a phone number and the call will be returned. Or, mail a check to the Edgecomb Congregational Church, P.O. Box 113, Edgecomb, ME 04356; or email a reservation to ecc@gwi.net.
