WINDHAM – Voters in Windham on Tuesday soundly rejected the $37.8 million sewer project by a tally of 6,513-2036.

Residents elected Dennis Welch to an at-large Town Council seat, 3,886-3,3380 over John A. Carlberg Jr. Peter Anania defeated Carol Waig 3,907-3,773 for a one-year North District council seat. In the West District, Matthew Noel defeated Robert Muir 4,113-3,380 for a three-year term.
