GORHAM — Gorham authorities reported little severe damage but did have two break-ins which police believe were storm-related because they happened while the businesses lacked power.

At 3:45 a.m., the owner of Sawyer’s Variety on Route 202 near the Windham line, reported that someone forced their way into the building and stole about $600 worth of cigarettes.

Police are still working that case, but in a separate theft from Ray’s Laundromat, police have already charged a suspect. Police charged Stefanie Frank, 25, of Gorham with theft and criminal mischief in connection with the theft of $200 from the business.

The laundromat is open all the time but is not always staffed, police said, and the theft was discovered early Tuesday morning.

Despite the power outage, investigators were able to find surveillance video that implicates Frank, police said.
