PORTLAND — Maine Running Co., a local specialty running store, said on Tuesday it will relocate its Portland store to Marginal Way from Forest Avenue.

The new store abuts the Bayside Trail, giving customers easy access to the Portland Trails network from Maine Running Co.

The company will occupy 5,000 square feet at the Marginal Way location. The location will include retail space and a “community room” to host local race packet-pickups, training groups and clinics.

Maine Running Co. has been at its current location at 563 Forest Ave. since opening in April 2005. The company employs over 20 full- and part-time employees, with locations in Portland and Brunswick.
