KENNEBUNK – Nick Emmons threw for 155 yards and two touchdowns as Kennebunk secured a spot in the Western Class A football playoffs and eliminated Noble with a 14-8 win Saturday.

After Larson Coppinger caught a 30-yard TD pass for Kennebunk (5-3) in the first quarter, Ethan Beaulier answered with a 15-yard scoring run to give Noble (4-4) an 8-6 halftime lead.

But Nicco DeLorenzo had a 70-yard touchdown reception for the Rams with 51/2 minutes left.

SANFORD 41, MASSABESIC 8: Alex Shain scored six touchdowns as the Spartans (5-3) clinched a Western Class A playoff berth and eliminated the Mustangs (2-6) at Waterboro.

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 14, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 7: Devine Dockery scored on a 4-yard run to complete a five-minute, 75-yard drive in the final minute, and Andrew Rascoe converted the 2-point rush as the Raiders (4-4) clinched a Western Class B playoff spot and eliminated the Phoenix (3-5) with a comeback win at Fryeburg.

LEAVITT 1, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 0: Emma Martineau put in a loose ball with 6:55 remaining, and the third-seeded Hornets (13-3) knocked off the No. 2 Raiders (13-3) in a Western Class B semifinal at Fryeburg.

The Hornets will meet fourth-seeded York for the regional title Tuesday at Scarborough.

Sierra Santomango made seven saves for the shutout for Leavitt. Sage Antolin stopped three shots for Fryeburg.

NORTH YARMOUTH ACADEMY 2, DIRIGO 0: Kayla Rose scored in the first half and Jen Brown added a goal with 6:14 left to lead the second-seeded Panthers (14-2) past the sixth-ranked Cougars (6-9-1) in a Western Class C semifinal at Yarmouth.

Olivia Madore and Marina Poole provided assists, and Elizabeth Coughlin made one save for NYA, which held a 12-3 advantage in shots.

BELFAST 1, MT. VIEW 0: Katrina Lapham scored off a penalty corner with time expired in the first half as the top-ranked Lions (13-1-2) beat the fifth-seeded Mustangs (11-4-1) in an Eastern Class B semifinal at Waterville.

SKOWHEGAN 11, MT. ARARAT 0: Makaela Michonski finished with four goals and three assists as top-ranked Skowhegan (16-0) beat fourth-seeded Mt. Ararat (11-5) in an Eastern Class A semifinal at Waterville.

VOLLEYBALL

BIDDEFORD 3, CAPE ELIZABETH 0: Mariah Hebert made 15 serves without any service errors to lead the top-seeded Tigers (15-0) past the eighth-ranked Capers (6-10) in straight sets in a Class A quarterfinal at Biddeford.

The Tigers also got 10 kills from Bailey Cote and five by Autumn Dube.

GORHAM 3, MT. DESERT ISLAND 1: Sam Robinson had five kills, seven aces, 14 points, 20 receptions and 31 digs to propel the fifth-seeded Rams (12-3) past the fourth-seeded Trojans (9-6) in four sets, 25-19, 25-22, 20-25, 25-18 at Bar Harbor.

Lindsay Chapman had five blocks, nine kills, 11 digs and 28 receptions, and Kaitlyn Seehusen added three aces, eight points, 19 digs, and 25 assists.

BOYS’ SOCCER

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 6, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 0: Six players collected goals for the eighth-seeded Raiders (7-5-3) against the ninth-ranked Falcons (5-9-1) in a Western Class B prelim at Fryeburg.

Alec Perry, Jordan Kruguer, Tyler Saunders and Gabe Perry had first-half goals. Nico Mauer and Rafael Benitez scored in the second half.

GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 5, CARRABEC/MADISON 0: Jake Street scored twice for the sixth-ranked Patriots (7-6-2), who got four second-half goals to pull away from the 11th-seeded Cobras (4-10-1) in a Western Class B prelim at Gray.

Will Bartlett added a goal and an assist, and Josh Kane and Casey Myhaver also scored.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

GREELY 3, BIDDEFORD 0: Izzy Hutnak, Leah Young and Julia Mitiguy scored as the fifth-seeded Rangers (9-4-2) defeated the 12th-ranked Tigers (5-9-1) in a Western Class A prelim at Cumberland.

Caton Beaulieu of Greely and Olivia Curtis of Biddeford each had nine saves.
