Chris Conner and Oliver Ekman-Larsson each scored two goals to lead the Portland Pirates to a 7-4 victory against the Worcester Sharks in an AHL hame at Androscoggin Bank Colisee on Friday night.
Conner, a veteran right wing in his first season with the Pirates, snapped a 3-3 tie when he scored his second goal on a breakaway 2:31 into the second period. Seven minutes later, veteran center Alexandre Bolduc made it 5-3 when he scored his first goal.
Brett Hextall and Andy Miele also scored goals for the Pirates (1-1).
Sebastian Stalberg, Sena Acotaste, Yannu Gourde and Tim Kennedy scored goals for the Worcester (0-2-1).
It was the first of six games the Pirates will play at the Lewiston arena this season.
