Windham High Eagles jumped to a 17-0 first-quarter lead and held on for a 31-14 victory over Bonny Eagle on Friday night.

Quarterback Damien Shepard scored four long touchdowns. He returned a kickoff 90 yards, returned a fumble 53 yards and then tallied on runs of 35 and 56 yards.

Bonny Eagle quarterback Tyson Goodale scored on runs of 3 and 1 yard. His second touchdown closed the Scots to 17-14 at halftime.

But Windham’s defense stiffened, and Shepard kept running.

With the win, the Eagles (4-4) assured themselves a berth in next week’s playoffs. The Scots are done at 2-6.
