CAPE ELIZABETH – Griffin Thoreck converted a direct kick late in the first half for Cape Elizabeth and Henry Cleaves scored midway through the second half for Waynflete in a 1-1 boys’ soccer draw Monday night.

Zander Majercik made nine saves for Waynflete (10-2-2), which is ranked fourth in Western Class C. Brett Parker had six stops for Cape (7-5-2), ranked seventh in Western Class A.

 

WELLS 3, SACOPEE VALLEY 2: Sam LaPointe scored twice as the Warriors (3-10) edged the Hawks (1-12-1) at Wells.

Dan Quint also tallied for Wells.

Trey Watson and Michael Pingree each had a goal for Sacopee.

Tyler Lamb recorded five saves for the Warriors. Stephen Day made 10 stops for the Hawks.

 

TRAIP ACADEMY 4, LAKE REGION 1: Brandon Metevier scored two goals as the Rangers (7-6-1) beat the Lakers (1-13) at Kittery.

Gabriel Mancini and Gavin Frisbee each added a goal for Traip.

Mike Mageles scored for Lake Region. Lakers goalie Pat Irish made 14 saves.

NOBLE 3, WESTBROOK 2: Jake Emard notched a pair of goals, including the winner with 90 seconds left in the first overtime for the Knights (8-6) against the Blue Blazes (0-13-1) at Westbrook.

After a scoreless first half, Kaleb Kent put Westbrook on the board first before Noble took the lead with consecutive goals from Jake Emard and Brandon Vigneault. Luther Williams tied it for Westbrook with three minutes remaining in regulation.

Drew Martin stopped five shots for the Knights. Blue Blazes keeper Andrew Blake had seven saves.

 

A.R. GOULD 3, PINE TREE ACADEMY 1: Dante Dennis had a pair of goals to lead the Bears (3-6) past the Breakers (9-3-1) at South Portland.

Keelin White started the scoring for Gould early in the match. JP Tashamala answered for Pine Tree Academy, but Dennis scored late in the first half to put the Bears ahead for good.

Bears goalie Chris Hogan made eight saves. Zach Wilday turned away 13 shots for the Breakers.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

MORSE 1, MEDOMAK VALLEY 0: Brianna Williams buried a through ball from Bess Howell 26 minutes into the first half to give the Shipbuilders (12-1-1) a victory over the Panthers (7-4-2) at Bath.

Morse goalie Sadie Crosby had five saves. Medomak Valley keeper Amanda Hendrickson stopped 12 shots.

 

GREELY 10, LAKE REGION 0: Izzy Hutnak, Allie Morrill and Julia Mitiguy each scored twice as the Rangers (9-3-2) cruised past the Lakers (4-9-1) at Naples.

Teal Otley, Molly Fitzpatrick, Mary Morrison and Mia Lambert rounded out the scoring.

 

CAPE ELIZABETH 6, WAYNFLETE 0: Kathryn Clark scored three goals to propel the Capers (12-1-1) over the Flyers (8-2-4) at Portland.

Kate Breed, Morgan Wight and Katherine Briggs also scored.

 

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 1, SACOPEE VALLEY 1: Brittany Ryan scored midway through the second half with an assist from Morgan Sanborn to secure a tie for Sacopee Valley (6-4-4) against the Seagulls (8-2-4) at Old Orchard Beach.

Mae Toohey found the net first for OOB off a scramble.

Jaclyn MacDonald had nine saves for the Seagulls. Emily Colbert made seven saves for the Hawks.

 

FRYEBURG ACADEMY 3, POLAND 0: Anna Mahanor converted a cross from Julia Quinn in the first half to spark the Raiders (3-10-1) to a win over the Knights (7-5-2) at Fryeburg.

Olivia McDermith and Sam Nardone added second-half goals.
