FALMOUTH – Westbrook High continued its drive for the top seed in the Western Class B playoffs by scoring the final 24 points Friday night and coming away with a 32-12 victory against Falmouth.

The Blue Blazes (6-1), who entered the weekend in the No. 1 spot in the Crabtree rankings, led 16-12 through three quarters before putting the game away against the Yachtsmen (1-6).

Kyle Heath passed for a touchdown and ran for another for the Blue Blazes.

Heath completed 7 of 10 passes for 86 yards, and Cale Bollig anchored the Westbrook running game with 129 yards on 27 attempts.

Bollig also scored a touchdown and contributed four 2-point conversions. Ben Grant ran in the final touchdown for the Blazes in the fourth quarter.

KENNEBUNK 14, BONNY EAGLE 7: Kennebunk (4-3) took advantage of five turnovers to get past Bonny Eagle (2-5) at Standish.

After quarterback Tyson Goodale scored on a 13-yard run in the first quarter to put the Scots on top, Bonny Eagle went scoreless the rest of the way. The five turnovers included two interceptions.

Kennebunk got its first touchdown by recovering a blocked punt in the end zone but failed on the 2-point conversion. Will Dumas ran in the go-ahead TD in the fourth quarter and Nick Emmons ran the ball in for 2 more points.

Emmons led Kennebunk with 46 yards on 16 carries.

CAPE ELIZABETH 20, FRYEBURG ACADEMY 8: Noah Wolfinger threw a pair of touchdown passes to Cam Wilson to lead the Capers (3-4) past the Raiders (3-4) at Cape Elizabeth.

Nick Moulton added a rushing score for Cape Elizabeth, which was anchored by Kalen Houle with 10 tackles and Tom Seenstra with seven.

Devine Dockery scored on a 2-yard run for Fryeburg.

LISBON 22, POLAND 6: Quincy Thompson rushed for 130 yards on 21 carries and opened the scoring on an 8-yard run for the Greyhounds (4-3), who took a 16-0 first-quarter lead and beat the Knights (1-6) at Poland.

Lisbon extended its lead to 9-0 on a safety on a kickoff and Kyle Sheehan scored on a 3-yard run to cap the first-quarter scoring.

Sheehan added a 40-yard touchdown run in the third.

Poland cut the deficit to 16-6 in the second on a 35-yard run by Tony Whalen.

MESSALONSKEE 68, MT. ARARAT 7: Corey McKenzie, who missed the last two games with concussion-like symptoms, rushed for 96 yards and four touchdowns on just six carries — all in the first quarter — as Messalonskee (6-1) beat Mt. Ararat (0-7) at Oakland.

“I had a lot of fun while I was in there,” he said. “It wasn’t even so much about scoring as it was just playing.”

Messalonskee, which clinched an Eastern Class A playoff berth for the fifth consecutive season, scored on seven of first eight possessions for a 55-0 halftime lead.

LAWRENCE 27, CONY 6: The Bulldogs (7-0) came up with five interceptions and three sacks to defeat Cony (5-2) at Fairfield.

Lawrence also held Cony to 14 yards rushing.
