The South Windham Library is moved through the village area Thursday on its way from Gorham to the Windham Historical Society. The building was about to be demolished because of a lack of patrons when the society stepped in to take it for use as part of a “living history” park.Â
Â
Society members Anne Dunbar, left, Linda Griffin and Lloyd Gilman look over the site to be used for the history park, with the newly arrived library building in the background. The park will eventually have a dozen other buildings to replicate a circa-1870s village green.
