BIDDEFORD – Emma Cost scored a pair of second-half goals, including one on a header off a corner kick, as Massabesic pulled away for a 3-0 win over Biddeford in an SMAA girls’ soccer match Monday afternoon.
Alyssa Wardwell scored in the first half. Gemma Lundrigan made 10 saves to earn the shutout for Massabesic (7-4).
Olivia Curtis finished with five saves for Biddeford (3-7-1).
WINDHAM 6, WESTBROOK 0: Jordan Symond collected a goal and an assist, and six players scored for the Eagles (10-0-1) in a win over the Blue Blazes (3-8) at Windham.
Ciera Berthiaume, Shannon Valente, Luisa Sbardella, Christina Pollard and Alana Dube added a goal apiece for the Eagles, who led 3-0 at halftime.
PINE TREE ACADEMY 4, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 0: Becca Paul, Mikayla Hill, Trinity Skiadas and Beckie McGuire scored to lead the Breakers (2-5) past the Lions (0-8) at South Portland.
Allison Verrill stopped all three shots she faced for the Breakers. Clarissa Jones and Emily Martell combined for seven saves for the Lions.
MONMOUTH ACADEMY 4, HALL-DALE 1: Kylie Kemp had a goal and three assists and Danielle Bumann scored twice as the Mustangs (11-2) erased a 1-0 halftime deficit against the Bulldogs (8-4-1) at Monmouth.
BANGOR 4, MT. BLUE 0: Grace Mac-Lean, Katerina Gagner, Mary Butler and Eve George scored for the Rams (10-1) in a victory over the Cougars (5-5-1) in Farmington.
BOYS’ SOCCER
THORNTON ACADEMY 3, WESTBROOK 0: Aaron Sinclair and Brandon Lasante scored first-half goals as the Trojans (5-6) blanked the Blue Blazes (0-10-1) at Westbrook.
Zack Lombard made five saves to record the shutout for Thornton, which increased its lead on an own goal in the second half.
PINE TREE ACADEMY 4, GREATER PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 2: Bosung Gong scored twice, and Andrew Goorhuis and JP Tashamala each added a goal to lead the Breakers (8-2-1) past the Lions (5-7) at South Portland.
James Perkins scored twice for Greater Portland Christian.
FIELD HOCKEY
SANFORD 5, SOUTH PORTLAND 0: Janelle Cannon and Caroline L’Heureux each finished with two goals and an assist as the Spartans (9-4-1) downed the Red Riots (3-10-1) at South Portland.
Allison L’Heureux also scored, and Jenna Pepin had an assist.
MASSABESIC 10, MCAULEY 0: Kristin Lambert finished with three goals and Jackie Guillemette scored twice as the Mustangs (9-3-1) cruised past the Lions (0-14) at Waterboro.
SKOWHEGAN 3, MESSALONSKEE 1: The Indians (14-0) surrendered a goal for the first time this season but scored three unanswered goals in the second half to beat the visiting Eagles (12-2) and extend their winning streak to 49 games.
Messalonskee’s Kristy Bernatchez scored off a penalty corner with 1:42 left in the first half. But Allison Lancaster tied it less than four minutes into the second half, and Renee Wright got the go-ahead goal with 22:13 remaining.
Makaela Michonski, who set up Wright’s goal, knocked in her own rebound to make it 3-1 with 12:40 left.
WINSLOW 3, LEAVITT 2: Alli LeClair’s goal with 2:37 remaining gave the Black Raiders (11-2) a win over the Hornets (10-3) at Winslow.
Mackenzie Winslow scored twice to stake the Black Raiders to a 2-1 halftime lead. Sadie Royer scored for Leavitt in the first half and Emma Martineau tied it in the second half.
