SOUTH PORTLAND – Damjan Draskovic scored with three minutes left in regulation Saturday, and South Portland went on to a 1-1 tie against Cheverus in an SMAA schoolboy soccer game.

Zach Poulin gave the Stags (6-4-1) the lead after 15 minutes.

Ben Burkey had three saves for South Portland (6-2-3).

Charlie Mull handled two shots for Cheverus.

RICHMOND 8, WAYNFLETE 2: Eddie Stewart scored three goals and Cameron Emmons added a pair to lead the Bobcats (13-0) past Waynflete (9-1-1) at Richmond.

Randy Moody added a goal and an assist, and Dustin Sullivan stopped seven shots for Richmond.

Tommy Silk had 10 saves for Waynflete.

VALLEY 2, ISLESBORO 0: Stone Ellis scored in the first half and Josh West in the second as the Cavaliers (8-5) best Islesboro (2-6) at Bingham.

Carrington Miller added an assist and Collin Miller came up with two saves for Valley.

Ian Davis had 10 saves for Islesboro.

WINTHROP 2, CARRABEC 1: Jake Valle scored from Nolan Howe a minute into the second overtime as the Ramblers (4-6-1) defeated Carrabec (3-8-1) at Winthrop.

William Crawford scored an unassisted goal in the 20th minute of the second half to give Carrabec a 1-0 lead. Peter Michelson scored for Winthrop 10 minutes later to tie it.

Matt Sekerak had 15 saves for the Ramblers, while Trent Richardson had 15 saves for the Cobras.

FOOTBALL

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 83, SAC-OPEE VALLEY 0: Bryan Roberts returned two punts for touchdowns and threw three touchdown passes to Tyler Scott to help the Seagulls (5-1) beat the Hawks (0-6) at Old Orchard Beach.

Joe Gildard rushed for two scores and Matt Parks threw two touchdown passes for the Seagulls, who scored on seven of their 12 offensive plays in the first half on the way to a 69-point lead.

OAK HILL 28, POLAND 7: Parker Asselin threw two touchdown passes to tight end Luke Washburn, and the Raiders (5-1) held the Knights (1-5) to 81 yards at Wales.

Asselin found Washburn on a 5-yard pass with 37 seconds left in the second quarter to give Oak Hill a 14-0 lead, then made it 21-0 with an 18-yard run with 4:51 left in the third.

Tyler Sturtevant returned the following kickoff 85 yards for Poland’s only touchdown. Aaron Clark added a 1-yard touchdown run for the Raiders early in the fourth.

FREEPORT 42, TELSTAR 13: Dan Burke rushed for 186 yards and James Purdy passed for 101 yards as Freeport (3-3) downed Telstar (0-6) at Bethel.

Purdy completed 7 of 14 passes, threw for two touchdowns and ran for two.

Burke carried 24 times and returned an interception 48 yards. Ben MacMillan carried seven times for 64 yards, and Joe Nixon made five catches for 84 yards.

Telstar took the lead in the second quarter on a 60-yard run by Nick Mills. Freeport scored the next 42 points over two quarters.

The Rebels added a touchdown late in the third quarter when Jared Vermette hit Mills with a 10-yard pass.
