BRUNSWICK — Beginning Monday, Oct. 8, Stanwood Street will be closed for two weeks near its intersection with Pleasant Street.

The closure is part of an almost four-week project to widen and improve the intersection, add a northbound traffic lane, install new drainage and curbing, and replace and improve underground utilities.

Stanwood will be partially open again on Oct. 22, but with periodic closures for ongoing work until the expected completion date of Nov. 2.

Ray Labbe and Sons Inc., was awarded the improvement contract. Work will be done weekdays from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
