WOOLWICH
A Bath motorist who crashed Sunday on Middle Road was taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.
As a result of the crash, reported at 7:55 p.m., 22-yearold Jeremiah Plunkett of 13 Sheridan Road, Bath, was summonsed for inadequate tires, failure to maintain control of the vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia, said Chief Deputy Brett Strout of the Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department.
Plunkett was driving a 2010 Nissan four-door car when he lost control of the vehicle, veered off to the right side of the road, attempted to correct the vehicle, but overcorrected and drove across the roadway and grazed a telephone pole before hitting the embankment and rolling over.
North East Mobile Health Services transported Plunkett to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick. Strout said Deputy Matt Sharpe is investigating. Woolwich Fire Department and Woolwich EMS also responded.

It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
