NEW FACES
• Matt Wickenheiser was hired as director of college relations at Southern Maine Community College.
Wickenheiser, of Portland, will be responsible for internal and external communications, including working with the media on stories about the college. He was previously a business editor at the Bangor Daily News. Before that, he worked for the Portland Press Herald/Maine Sunday Telegram.
• Constance Jordan joined the Opportunity Alliance as its new medical director.
Jordan has been working with individuals with mental illness for the past 14 years. Recently, she practiced in outpatient, correctional settings, and private practice as well as inpatient and outpatient care for veterans.
• Peter Nielsen, town manager of Oakland, was elected vice president of the Maine Municipal Association.
Nielsen, who has served as manager in Oakland since 2008, will assume his post in January 2013.
• Eric Andrews joined Gorham Savings Bank as chief risk officer.
He was previously a senior lending officer and senior vice president at Kennebunk Savings Bank.
• Jim Goodbody joined the Gorham Financial Group Team at Gorham Savings Bank.
Goodbody spent the last three years at Merrill Lynch Financial Services as a financial adviser.
• Taylor Fawns joined the health law practice of Kozak & Gayer, P.A.
Fawns, of Portland, recently practiced civil, commercial and real estate litigation; and corporate and business law.
• Nick Winchester, Matthew Acheson and Eric Chambers joined Creative Digital Imaging in Bangor.
Winchester was named general manager. He had been senior vice president of Otelco, Inc and CEO of Mid Maine Communications. He has more than 15 years of senior management experience.
Acheson was named director of customer operations. He was formerly director of hosted services at OTT Communications.
Chambers was hired as a project manager. He was formerly a hosted specialist for OTT Communications.
• Chris Perry, Bruce Thornton and Michelle Curtis joined Bar Harbor Bank & Trust.
Perry was named vice president and regional market manager. Previously, he worked for Androscoggin Bank and TD Bank.
Thornton was hired as branch relationship manager for its branches in South China and Augusta. He was previously with Damariscotta Bank & Trust for six years and at Citizens Bank for five years.
Curtis was named branch relationship manager. She has been with Bar Harbor Bank & Trust for almost a year, training in various departments for this position.
• Mindy Woerter was hired as a communications manager at Avesta Housing.
Woerter, of Durham, will oversee the organization’s media relations, online presence and branding initiatives. She has more than 10 years’ experience in journalism and most recently was online editor at Mainebiz in Portland.
• Real estate Brokers Daren Hebold and John Golden have launched Lux Realty Group.
Hebold has brokered and owned commercial real estate in Maine since 2004. Golden has brokered real estate since 1987 in New York and Maine. The firm, licensed in both Maine and New York, will transact commercial and high-end residential real estate and sponsor investment opportunities in both states.
• Ryan Smith joined Camden National Bank as senior vice president, commercial regional manager for the southern and central regions of Maine.
Smith has 15 years of commercial banking experience. Most recently, he was senior vice president of commercial banking for People’s United Bank, where he worked for 10 years.
