Presumpscot Regional Land Trust (PRLT) will hold its 27th annual meeting this year at Alfond Hall on the St. Joseph’s College Campus on Tuesday, Oct. 2. The focus of the meeting will be to discuss what land conservation means to the Presumpscot River.

Join PRLT to hear about river conservation stories from around the globe, the importance of protecting the watershed – our own local basin of the world, PRLT’s work in the Presumpscot River Watershed, what you can do to help PRLT.

This year, PRLT is featuring Colin Apse, senior freshwater conservation advisor for The Nature Conservancy’s Africa, Great Rivers, and Eastern U.S. Freshwater Programs. He will present a global perspective with fascinating stories from Africa about land conservation in river basins.

Starting at 7 p.m., there will be light refreshments, the annual business meeting, and presentations on PRLT’s work in the last year. Apse will then give his presentation that will last about an hour.
