Voters will decide two contested Town Council races and two local referendums on Nov. 6.

Greg Garrison and Eric Metivier both turned in nomination papers to run for an atlarge seat on the Town Council, while Dillon Pesce and Tyler Golletti will compete for the District 2 council seat. Incumbent Mark Lunt is running unopposed to recapture the District 1 seat.

Current at-large Councilor Lori Pomerlow and District 2 Councilor Mike Bowie did not take out nomination papers for re-election.

No one has taken out papers for the District 1 or District 2 seat on the Budget Advisory Board. The terms of Don Fellows, currently an atlarge representative on the board, and John Eckhardt, District 1 representative, are expiring; neither took out papers to seek re-election. Dorothy Fitzgerald’s term as the District 2 representative on the board is also expiring; she will run for another term, as an at-large representative.

Two seats are available on the School Committee: Incumbents Herbert Reed and Kathi Yergin are both seeking to serve another term.

A write-in candidate will also be sought to fill the single Water Commission seat available. The term of Stanley Doughty Jr. is expiring, and although Doughty took out nomination papers, he did not return them, according to the town clerk’s office.

Lisbon voters will also see two local referendum questions.

The first asks voters to eliminate the Budget Advisory Board because the Town Council has amended its administrative code to provide instead for a Finance Committee appointed by the council.

The second is an advisory question asking, “Do the voters of the town of Lisbon wish to dissolve the Lisbon Water Department and to have all functions of the Lisbon Water Department assumed by the town?”

Polls will be open Nov. 6 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Superintendent’s Central Office at the old Lisbon Elementary School on Gartley Street and at the Marion T. Morse Center on School Street.
