TOPSHAM — The Topsham Parks and Recreation Department is scheduled to offer fifth- and sixth-grade travel basketball tryouts for the Ararat League for children in Bowdoin, Bowdoinham, Harpswell and Topsham.
The goal is to have three teams per gender: an “A” team which will be the highest skilled players (mostly sixthgrade), a “B” team which will be comprised of the next mixed level of players, and a “C” Team which will be fifthgraders.
All players who play Travel must also participate on their community recreational teams.
Tryouts for these teams are scheduled to be held at the Mt. Ararat Middle School October 10-12.
Interested players MUST attend two of the three tryouts.
* Oct. 10 — girls from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and boys from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
* Oct. 11 — Boys from 5:30 p.m.to 6:45 p.m. and girls from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
* Oct. 12 — Girls from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. and boys from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
Children who make a team will be required to pay $40 fee. For more information, call 725-1726.
