The final Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) sponsored Medication Collection will be held this Saturday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Subsequent to this collection, DEA will no longer fund these collection/disposal events.
Please bring any and all unused medications no longer needed to one of these local area collection sites: The McLellan Building at 85 Union St. in Brunswick, Bath Middle School, Harpswell Town Office, Topsham Municipal Building, or the Richmond
Senior Center.
Unless local TRIAD partner organizations are able to raise funds for future medication collections, there will no longer be a safe and environmentally acceptable way to dispose of unneeded medications in the area.
Volunteers are still needed for this event. To volunteer or to learn more about TRIAD, visit www.merrymeetingbaytriad.org or call 751-6989. Thanks for participating and for supporting this program.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
