RAYMOND – Two motorcyclists were taken to separate hospitals after they collided on Route 302 Saturday night, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.

According to deputies, the accident occurred about 7 p.m. at the intersection of Route 302 and Webbs Mill Road.

Deputies said Cintron Obed, 64, of North Providence. R.I., was making a left turn from Route 302 onto Webbs Mill Road along with a group of other motorcyclists. Deputies said Harold Blaney, 40, of Raymond was headed east on Route 302 at the same time and failed to see Obed.

The two motorcycles collided, deputies said.

Obed was taken to Maine Medical Center with serious, but non-life-threatening head injuries. Blaney was taken to Bridgton hospital with leg injuries, also described as not life-threatening.

Deputies said the accident is still under investigation, but they do not believe alcohol was a factor.
