THE TASTE OF BRUNSWICK vendors breathed a big sigh of relief as the last rain shower stopped late morning on Saturday and they could open their doors to food tasters and sunny weather. Mark Crowley and his wife, Flo, above left, started at Sista’s Southern Barbeque and ended with some gelato from Gelato Fiasco. Michael Boyd also sampled Gelato Fiasco and said the mango and raspberry combination he had chosen was delicious. Jerry Perron and Tim Wilson from the band Punchbug provided some of the musical entertainment around noon. Under the beer tent, at top, employees from Byrne’s Irish Pub (with locations in Bath and Brunswick) goofed off for the camera. From left are Liz Anderson, Allison Marceau and Darren Carey. Above at right, Catherine Baker, 11, left, and Alexandra Lively, 11, were happily sampling food from the Lion’s Pride. Michael S. Sanders, at left, was there signing copies of his book, “Fresh From Maine: Recipes and Stories from the State’s Best Chefs,” and chatting about food with the public.
