STANDISH – Thornton Academy picked up an important win Friday night, on the road against Bonny Eagle, 37-20. The game generated a lot of excitement and passion but not big numbers. Total offense for the Scots totaled 58 yards rushing and 176 yards passing for a total of 234 yards. For the Golden Trojans, just about the reverse, with 176 yards on the ground and 85 in the air.

For the Scots, Tyson Goodale scored twice, on 1- and 17-yard keeper plays. Joe Bissonnette returned a kickoff for a score. For Thornton Academy, Andrew Libby scored three touchdowns and Nick Kenney scored one, with the TA defense scoring two points on a safety.
