GORHAM – Students at Village Elementary School are back in school after being evacuated for about 20 minutes due to a small propane leak on the roof, said Superindent Ted Sharp.

Maintenance workers on the roof smelled propane and the fire department was called. The leak was fixed. About 500 people were evacuated from the building.

The school on Robie Street serves kindergarten through fifth grade.
