BRUNSWICK — Irwin, Tardy & Morris recently announced that Robert Weaver has joined the firm.
Weaver is from Belfast, graduating from Belfast Area High School in 2000. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Maine at Orono, and later spent three years as policy aide to the minority leader of the Maine House of Representatives.
In 2011, Weaver graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law, where he earned distinction as research editor on the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal, co-chairman of the Moot Court team, and as a legal writing teaching assistant. He also received the Faculty Significant Achievement Award for his excellent academic performance and contributions to the law school community.
Weaver joins the firm after spending a year as a law clerk to Leigh Saufley, chief justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. His practice will emphasize general litigation, appellate work and governmental affairs.
Irwin, Tardy & Morris has offices in Brunswick, Portland, Newport and Augusta.
