PORTLAND — Two-time defending Class A state champion Cheverus rolled to its second straight win of the season with a 42-0  victory over Portland in a Western Maine Class A football game at Cheverus’ Boulos Stadium Saturday.

The Stags blocked a punt on the game’s first series. On the next play, fullback Brent Green scored from the 20.

Cheverus halfback Donald Goodrich scored three touchdowns.

Portland fell to 1-1.
