PORTLAND — Portland firefighters extinguished a fire on a small plane parked on the tarmac at Portland International Jetport Thursday morning.

A person tending the four-seat plane called 911 to report the fire.

Firefighters stationed at the jetport responded and put it out quickly, a city spokeswoman said.

Nobody was injured.
