1. Scarborough: Graduation claimed seven starters, but the Red Storm have enough depth to contend for a third consecutive trip to the Class A state final.

2. Falmouth: With eight returning starters, the Yachtsmen appear ready to make a run at a second consecutive Class B state title.

3. Cape Elizabeth: The Capers have the talent and experience to contend in Western Class A.

4. Gorham: A balanced lineup should keep the Rams firmly in Western Class A’s tournament picture.

5. Thornton Academy: The Trojans’ strength down the middle of the formation should keep them in contention in Western Class A.

6. Windham: An extremely tough defense should enable the Eagles to soar in Western Class A.

7. Brunswick: Graduation claimed a lot of their offensive firepower, but the Dragons have enough experience in the back to remain a force in Eastern Class A.

8. Sanford: A large corps of seniors should keep the Spartans in the running in Western Class A.

9. Deering: Solid performers at both ends of the field could make the Rams a contender in Western Class A.

10. Cheverus: A potent offense and strong midfield play should keep the Stags in the mix in Western Class A.
