HARPSWELL — The Islands Community Church on Bailey Island has invited the Rev. Bennett Barnes to preach on Sunday at 9:30 a.m.
Church leaders have announced the rest of September’s scheduled preachers, as well.
On Sept. 9, the Rev. Marc Boutan will preach. On Sept. 16, Connie French-Smith will be the guest. The Rev. Elizabeth Peterson and Rev. Nancy White have been scheduled for Sept. 23 and 30, respectively.
The ICC, a nondenominational church based on the teachings of the Bible, is led by a board who invite ordained ministers, lay people and chaplains to celebrate the service.
Outreach and community service are important aspects of the church mission.
Communion is offered monthly on the first Sunday.
Children attend the beginning of the service and then during the school year,
Sunday School is offered on the first and third Sundays of the month.
