BATH — Frohmiller Construction/ Midcoast Marble of the Bath Men’s Softball League enjoyed a successful summer campaign.

Frohmiller made it a quick night versus two teams in recent doubleheader action, defeating the Coast Guard, 26- 5, at Legion Field in four innings.

Dustin Zubrod, Jared Martin and Brandon Shorey each went 4-for-4 at the plate, with Martin hitting a key two-run home run to start a nine-run rally.

Frohmiller Construction/ Midcoast Marble also toppled Smith-Tobey Post in five innings of play. John Frey and Nick Green each went 3-for-3 with a combined five runs. No score was supplied.

Frohmiller got past Ravens Roost in their first two matchups. Frohmiller stitched together a 15-run third inning in a 28-7 victory. Adam Masse and Josh Davis had a big first game against the Ravens, scoring seven runs in four innings.

In game two, Frohmiller smashed the Ravens, 37-5. Nate Hodgkins and Ryan Chaney each were 5-for-5 at the plate, scoring a combined nine runs.

Frohmiller split a doubleheader with the Coast Guard, taking its first loss.

Frohmiller won the opener, 21-2 in four innings. Drew Colby was the highlight with a three-run home run, which led to a 14-run inning.

In a 24-23 extra-inning loss, a walk-off two-home run cost Frohmiller, which bounced back to take a three-game series over Crooker’s Construction.

Chaney, Davis, Jay Reith and Colby were offensive standouts..

Frohmiller won a series, 2- 1, versus Winner’s Sports Grill. In game one, Winners got the bats going early and won, 17-8.

Frohmiller woke up after the first contest to come back and dominate game two, 24-7. Hodgkins and Zubrod each went 5-for-5, crossing the plate a combined seven times with the help of Carl Nygaard, Mike Dunning and Masse. The threesome picked up 12 combined RBIs.

Frohmiller won game 3, 21- 8. Reith and Green each went 3-for-3 with two runs each and a combined five RBIs.
