PORTLAND (AP) — Officials say a soldier with Maine ties and assigned to a Maine National Guard battalion has died in Kuwait.
The Department of Defense says Staff Sgt. Jessica Wing died Monday in a noncombatrelated incident.
The 42-year-old Wing was a helicopter crew chief assigned to the 1st Battalion, 126 Aviation Regiment out of Bangor.
