TOPSHAM — The Mid Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross is hosting its fourth annual benefit golf tournament on Monday at the ninehole Scottish links course at Highland Green Golf Club.
Participants will enjoy a day of golf, food and prizes, while at the same time helping the Red Cross of Maine fulfill its mission to provide relief to victims of disasters as well as help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.
Advance registration for the event is requested. The $200 contribution per team of four includes nine holes of golf with carts, a luncheon, awards and complimentary team photos.
There will be prizes for the lowest three scores and a live auction for passes to the courses operated by the Harris Golf Group. A $100 gift card will be awarded for longest drive and closest to the pin on the designated holes, courtesy of Danielle M. Emery of Ameriprise Financial.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
