BRUNSWICK — The fifth annual Hugh Thomas Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sept. 20 at the Brunswick Golf Club.
The tournament is held in memory of Hugh Thomas, a Brunswick-area Sherwin Williams sales representative for 18 years who succumbed to cancer in 2007 at age 49.
Check in for the tournament begins at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The cost is $100 per golfer, which includes green fees, a golf cart and barbecue lunch. P
Prizes will be awarded, there will be a 50/50 raffle, and a $5 putting contest for a chance to win $5,000.
Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. In 2011, the tournament raised $5,000.
