BRUNSWICK — The Maine Fire Service Institute and the National Fire Protection Association will hold an electric vehicle safety training on Saturday from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Southern Maine Community College’s Midcoast Campus at Brunswick Landing.
The train-the-trainer session is part of NFPA’s nationwide Electric Vehicle Safety Training Project.
The session will feature hands-on training and a live demonstration of safety techniques with a Chevrolet Volt and a Toyota Prius provided by Goodwin Chevrolet and Lee Toyota of Topsham, respectively.
